Tanynotus rufithorax Cameron 1904. Holoype: in The Natural History Museum, London. Type locality: Dunbrody, (Eastern Cape Province) South Africa

Distribution

Afrotropical region: Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe. Indo-Australian region: Australia, India; and Oriental region.

Biology

Parasitoid of Embiidina (= Embioptera). Host species: Aposthonia spinulosa, Embia sabulosa, Apterembia sp.
