Oryssus plumicornis Guérin-Méneville, [1849]. Neotype: Zoologische Staatssammlung, München (ZSM). Type locality: Rikatla, near Delagoa [=Maputo], Mozambique.

Oryssus braunsi Enslin, 1911: 668–669, ♂, type locality: South Africa, Transvaal, Waterberg, Platriver, leg. Brauns (TMSA), synonymy by Vilhelmsen et al 2017: Chalinus braunsi (Enslin, 1911).
Chalinus somalicus Guiglia, 1935: 274–279, ♂, type locality: Somalia, Villaggio Duca degli Abruzzi (MCSN), synonymy by Vilhelmsen et al. 2017
Chalinus schulthessi Guiglia, 1936: 136–144, ♀♂, type locality: Mocambique, Rikatla near Delagoa (ZSM), synonymy with C. braunsi by Vilhelmsen (2001), objective synonym of O. plumicornis.

Biology

Unknown, but presumably a parasitoid of wood-boring insect larvae.
