Distribution

Afrotropical, Australasian, Oriental, Palaearctic regions.

Diversity

World total of 170 described species (Burks et al. 2013a, 2013b, Burks et al. 2016; Johnson et al. 2013).

Biology

A single host record, an exposed egg laid by an unknown orthopteran species onto plant tissue, is known for Oxyscelio perpensus Kononova (Kononova & Fursov, 2007).
