Distribution

Tanzania. Also Palaearctic.

Biology

Host of L. lloydi: Glossina palpalis(Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830) (ex puparia) (Ferrière 1935).

L. masneri is symphilic in the nests of the ant Solenopsis japonica (Chemyreva et al, 2025).

L. pedestris attacks a tachinid fly that develops in Melolonta melolonta (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) (Huggert and Masner 1983) and is also symphilic in the nests of the ant Solenopsis fugax (Hölldobler 1928; Lachaud 1980, 1981a, b, c, 1982; Lachaud and Passera 1982).
