Nomia (Meganomia) binghami Cockerell, 1909. Lectotype female in Natural History Museum, London (NHMUK). Type locality: Namibia.

Distribution

Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe.

Biology

Pollen collecting bees that nest in the ground often in large densities. Recorded visiting flowers of: Crotalaria podocarpa, Gisekia africana, Heliotropium ciliatum, Indigofera alternans, Indigofera charlieriana, Indigofera filipes, Indigofera sp., Lessertia macrostachya, Limeum arqute-carinatum, Limeum fenestratum, Limeum myosotis, Neuradopsis austroafricana, Tribulus sp., cucurbit (Eardley & Urban, 2010).
