Brachygaster Leach, 1815. Type species: Evania munuta Oliver, 1815 by monotypy {see Muesebeck and Walkley (1956); by original designation according to Enderlein (1909)}.

Distribution	Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe.
Biology	Predators of cockroach eggs. Evaniids oviposit into the concealed egg cases (ootheca) and the larvae feed on the eggs and pupate inside the ootheca.
