Oxybelus acutissimus propinquus Arnold, 1927. Syntypes in Iziko South African Museum, Cape Town (SAMC). Type locality: Khami, Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe.

Biology

Solitary predatory wasps, provisioning nest constructed in ground, with paralyzed adult Diptera for consumption by the wasp larvae (Bohart & Menke, 1976). Oxybelus carry the prey impaled on the sting, a derived prey transport adaptation (Bohart & Menke, 1976).
