Distribution

Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritania, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Uganda. Also Australasian, Nearctic, Neotropical, Oceanic, Oriental regions.

Biology

Parasitoids of Lepidoptera Tineidae, Pyralidae, and Crambidae (Narendran, 1989). Some species are myrmechopiles or termitophiles living in nests of these social insects (Narendran, 1989; Rasplus, 1993).
