Worldwide.

Biology

Brachymeria species are mostly primary parasitoids of Lepidoptera, but a few attack muscoid Diptera or are secondary parasitoids of tachinid and sarcophagid Diptera parasitizing Lepidoptera and Orthoptera (USDA, Systematics Entomology Laboratory website).
